class=\"rh-year\">1945<\/span>\n<div class=\"rh-text\">\n<h2>The origins of the company <small>L\u00e9on Roche, a wheelwright by trade\u2026<\/small><\/h2>\n<p>It was on May 8, 1945, a highly symbolic date, that L\u00e9on ROCHE, our grandfather, who until then had been established as a wheelwright in Aubenasson (Dr\u00f4me), decided to transfer his activity to two small workshops located in the commune of Aouste sur Sye.<\/p>\n<p>Previously focused on the manufacture and repair of wooden wheels, dump trucks and small wooden trailers for agricultural use, L\u00e9on ROCHE decided in 1948 to refocus his business on more contemporary trailers, developing a mechanical welding business in this respect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rh-year\">1955<\/span>\n<div class=\"rh-text\">\n<h2>Transition to a regional market <small>Creation of a first workshop<\/small><\/h2>\n<p>In 1955, after expanding its market to a regional area, it diversified into the production of manure spreaders. As business grew (particularly due to regular participation in all regional agricultural fairs) and space became an issue, in 1962, L\u00e9on ROCHE purchased a 4,000 m\u00b2 plot of land on the western outskirts of the village of Aouste sur Sye, to build a workshop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.remorques-roche.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/histoire-02.jpg\" alt=\"Benne basculante Roche en position lev\u00e9e devant l\u2019atelier, photographie d\u2019archive\" width=\"500\" height=\"351\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption>Tipping skip in front of the workshop \u2013 company archives<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"rh-chapter\">\n<span class=\"rh-year\">1977<\/span>\n<div class=\"rh-text\">\n<h2>Transition to a national market <small>Creation of a limited liability company (SARL) thanks to family support<\/small><\/h2>\n<p>Although he had always worked alone since setting up his business, his sons joined him in his company: Maurice, the eldest, in 1964, then Jacques in 1967 and finally Jean-Paul in 1972. Following this family reinforcement, which allowed the company to continue its development by opening up to a now national market, they formed the SARL Roche P\u00e8re et Fils in 1977.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, they strengthened our commercial policy with active participation in several major national trade fairs.
